Worship at St. Gregory the Great centers around the celebration of Holy Eucharist. Relying on the flexibility and liturgical richness of The Book of Common Prayer, the congregation of St. Gregory practices both traditional and innovative modes of worship. The language of the service is inclusive, as is congregational participation in worship roles—acolytes, lay readers, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, altar guild members, flower guild members, musicians. All confirmed members of the church, regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation are encouraged to assist in the experience of worship. Most importantly, all of the congregation are invited to the Eucharistic table to share the bread and wine.
Families looking for a different worship experience are invited to Rhythms of Grace, on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 3PM at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church. This adaptive service is designed to be welcoming to those for whom conventional worship may be difficult, including those sensitive to loud music or crowds, those on the Autism spectrum, and wiggly children who just want to move! The service features scripture and storytelling, therapeutic play, and a simplified prayer for Holy Communion. Gathering and dismissal rituals and visual and auditory cues help with transitioning. St. Gregory's hosts Rhythms of Grace on the second Sunday of each month in our sanctuary. All are welcome at every service at St. Gregory’s. Please invite your friends! Any questions?
